Orange County Computer System

Screen A is the main menu screen for the Orange County Clerk Computer System. Supreme Court cases are on computer since August of 1993. All judgments and lis pendens are on computer starting October 1, 1993. Enter the search name on the line and press "ENTER". Screen B will appear with the name entered and the ten names that come after it alphabetically. To select a name, place an "X" on the line next to the name by tabbing down, then press "RETURN". Screen C will appear listing all the documents listed to the search name.

Screen C lists all the cases listed to "FRANK SMITH". This list would include any judgments that are on file. To view the detailed information on the case listed, place an "X" on the line next to the name and hit "RETURN". Screen D will appear listing the case information. Any screen displaying the print command can be printed. A laser printer is available and printouts are free. More information on the case is available from this screen. The minutes to the case can be viewed by pressing The "Cmd10" key at the top of the keyboard. Screen E will appear.

Screen E lists the dates and type of papers filed in the case. The "REMARKS" screen can be viewed by pressing the "CMD11" key. No remarks are present on this case.

From the main menu (Screen A) the user can check to what dates the computer is current by pressing the "Cmd9" key. Screen F will list the certification dates. Index number searches are conducted the exact same way as name searches (Screen A) except the screen will list cases by index number.
